About · Rooted Minds Psychiatry

How we think
about care

Psychiatric care is not just about diagnosis and medication. It's about relationship, dignity, and meeting people exactly where they are — without requiring them to earn their way to support.

"
Minds truly can thrive when given the right support, the right tools, and a safe space to grow. That is what this practice is for. That is what it has always been for.
— The foundation of Rooted Minds Psychiatry
🤝

Healing happens in safe, compassionate relationships

The quality of the bond between a patient and provider is not incidental to the work — it is the work. We invest deeply in building connection that's real.

🗣️

Everyone deserves a voice in their own care

Shared decision-making is not a courtesy — it's how good care works. Your perspective, your values, and your goals shape every plan we develop together.

🧭

Guidance without judgment — always

There is no version of your story that changes the quality or warmth of care you'll receive here. Every person who walks through this door is welcomed as whole.

How we show up
for every patient

01

Trauma-informed, from the ground up

Trauma-informed care isn't a specialty add-on. It's the foundation. Every interaction, every care decision, and every space we hold together is shaped by an understanding that history lives in the present — and that healing requires safety first.

02

Developmentally informed across the lifespan

A child of 8, a teenager of 15, and a young adult of 23 are navigating completely different developmental terrain. Our approach adapts to where you actually are — not where a checklist says you should be.

03

Whole-person, not just symptom-focused

Symptoms are signals, not the whole story. We take time to understand the full context of your life — relationships, environment, history, and strengths — before building any plan together.

04

Family and community connected

Healing rarely happens in isolation. With your permission and at your pace, we work to support the relationships and systems around you — because they matter to your wellbeing too.

05

Anti-stigma, always

We actively work to reduce the shame that surrounds mental health care — in how we speak, how we explain, and how we make this space feel. You came here. That took courage. We honor it.
