FAQ
You've got questions — and that's okay.
I’m here to help make the process feel a little less overwhelming. Below are some of the questions I hear most often. Don't see yours? Reach out — I’d love to hear from you.
-
Yes! I offer telehealth throughout Washington state and see clients in person at my studio in downtown Bellingham. I have a strong preference for in-person care — there's something about human connection that simply can't be replicated through a screen. It builds trust faster, and people often leave feeling it in a way that telehealth just doesn't quite reach.
-
I provide outpatient psychiatric care via telehealth to children, adolescents, and adults throughout Washington State. Whether you're seeking support for ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, or need ongoing medication management for complex mental health conditions, Rooted Minds Psychiatry offers personalized, evidence-based care.
-
Absolutely. I specialize in medication management for psychiatric conditions. Medication recommendations are always made collaboratively, taking into account your unique symptoms, treatment goals, and personal preferences. Ongoing monitoring and follow-up appointments ensure your medication remains safe and effective as your needs evolve.
-
In Washington State, adolescents aged 13 and older have the legal right to consent to their own mental health treatment — and I take that seriously. Teens can seek care, including psychiatric evaluation and medication management, without parental consent or notification. Your privacy is respected from day one.
I also know that family can be a powerful source of support. Together, we'll figure out what involvement feels right for you — whether that means keeping things between us, bringing a parent or guardian into the conversation, or something in between. If you decide you'd like to share information with a caregiver, we'll simply put a Release of Information (ROI) in place.
Above all, this is your space. You deserve compassionate, confidential care that meets you where you are — and that's exactly what we're here to provide.
-
Absolutely. I offer comprehensive ADHD evaluations across all ages—children, teens, and adults. The evaluation process includes an in-depth clinical interview, careful review of developmental and medical history, evidence-based screening tools, and collaboration with family members or schools when helpful to ensure an accurate assessment.
